Money is the energy that powers human life. Energy from the sun is converted into food, heat, fuel, machines, and human work. These energy banks are powered by food calories. Money is traded for the time, effort, and risk it costs to do human work to gather this energy. I can visualize the transfer of potential money into kinetic money in dynamic, scale models that show me the value of the money in the system, how fast it is moving, the processes that move it, and the performance of the people doing the work at each step in the process. I’ve used this model to optimize over twenty-five business systems. I currently own eighteen business that process over $100 million in revenue. I have over 400 trucks and more than 1,000 employees.
